Almost There: Quebec On Cusp of DS Triumph After 3-2 Win
|
The Quebec Metros moved to within one game of the Regional Championship Series, downing the New Haven Ravens on the road at The Ballpark at Jackson by a score of 3-2. Metros left-hander Wade Moser had a strong outing. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Metros a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Quebec used the hitting of Amaro Montano to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Metros on top, 3-1. For the game, Montano had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Moser.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Ballpark at Jackson in New Haven.
