Behind the big bat of designated hitter Seth McLaughlin, the Montgomery Biscuits have opened up a healthy early lead in the Wild Card Series. The Biscuits topped the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 6-0, at Rebels Ballpark in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. McLaughlin hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice to power Montgomery to victory.

McLaughlin had a key at-bat in the top of the second to put Montgomery in front, 5-0. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run off Pensacola pitcher Victor Velazquez.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said McLaughlin. "You've got to get results."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 17th , 2068 at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
