Ragsdale Excels in 6-0 Milwaukee Win
|
The Milwaukee Brewers dumped the Colorado Rockies, 6-0, in large part due to second baseman Joshua Ragsdale. On the day, Ragsdale went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Brewers. Gerardo Hernández, the winning pitcher, is now 3-3. He went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 6. Peyton Wilson was credited with the save for Milwaukee, his 1st of the season.
Ragsdale had a key at-bat for Milwaukee early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Milwaukee an early 2-0 lead.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Ragsdale told the Milwaukee Daily.
Milwaukee is now 30-35, while Colorado is 29-36.
