In a crucial game, the Akron RubberDucks put on their best show, beating the Providence Crabs by a final score of 11-6. Michael Barton went 5 for 5 with a double and 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Akron and Providence are now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

Akron took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Rey Sandoval hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the RubberDucks in front, 5-4.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Akron manager Damon Cordero.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Holyoke Grounds in Providence.
