Grasshoppers Clip Hot Rods 4-3 in WCS Contest
The Greensboro Grasshoppers nearly wasted a strong game from starter Eden Rice, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods today.

Rice threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 runs. The win allowed Greensboro to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Ace Richardson was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grasshoppers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Richardson said.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 9th , 2052 at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green.
