GreenJackets Hammered by Toro, Drop Game 4 to Shorebirds
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Wild Card Series, the Augusta GreenJackets could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Delmarva Shorebirds emerged victorious, taking a 11-inning, 8-3 win. Delmarva right fielder Silverio Toro went 3-6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the win at First Energy Park today to drag the Shorebirds back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Delmarva got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Lawrence Carter. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Shorebirds ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 6 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"Winning is contagious," said Carter. "We're looking forward to the next game."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at First Energy Park in Lakewood.
