Chin Helps Iowa Take Wild Card Series Game 1
The Iowa Cubs powered past the visiting Albuquerque Isotopes, 4-1, in the opener of the Wild Card Series at Principal Park. Iowa starting pitcher Kayden Chin threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Cubs now lead the series 1-0.

The Cubs took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Albuquerque hurler Carter Hicks with two outs, Merton Matney hit a run-scoring double.

Matney attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Principal Park in Des Moines.
