Almost There: New Orleans On Cusp of WCS Triumph After 4-2 Win
The New Orleans Baby Cakes moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Reno Aces at Zephyr Field by a score of 4-2. Baby Cakes left-hander Finlay Garrett had a strong outing in which he threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Baby Cakes a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Right Fielder Napoleon Scorza made an impact for New Orleans, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Brandon Sperling in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Scorza was 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Finlay has got a slow heartbeat," said New Orleans manager Bobby Gomez. "He doesn't panic or anything."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Zephyr Field in New Orleans.
