Kirkpatrick, HarbourCats Sink River Cats Again in Game 2
Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Anthony Kirkpatrick, the Victoria HarbourCats stopped the visiting Sacramento River Cats, 8-4, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Series. Kirkpatrick was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the HarbourCats, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Victoria left fielder Clive Smith helped the HarbourCats go up, 6-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Smith hit a 2-run single off Sacramento pitcher Manuel Nunez.

"It's a gut punch," River Cats manager Brandon Holmes said, "to get here and find ourselves down 0-2 in the blink of an eye."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 26th , 2067 at River Cats Ballpark in Sacramento.
