DeWitt, Barons Sink Red Sox Again in Game 2
Riding the 2-hit performance of center fielder Hank DeWitt, the Birmingham Barons stopped the visiting Pawtucket Red Sox, 7-3, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Series. DeWitt went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Barons, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

DeWitt hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second to help the Birmingham cause. The home run, which was hit off Randy Weich, allowed Birmingham to take a 4-2 lead.

DeWitt attributed the win to his team's "determination."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.
