Scranton Tops Maine, 4-2, Claims 1-0 Series Lead
|
The Scranton Dundies powered past the hometown Maine Grizzlies, 4-2, in the opener of the Wild Card Series at Chukchansi Park. Scranton starting pitcher Shaun Lai threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Dundies now lead the series 1-0.
Jeremy Reddick came through with a big-time hit for Scranton. The center fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Reddick.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Chukchansi Park in Portland.
