Silverados Even With Giants After Walk-Off Win
The Napa Silverados nearly wasted a strong game from starter Gerardo Samora, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the San Jose Giants today.

Samora threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win allowed Napa to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 Regional Championship Series.

In the bottom of the tenth, Bonbon Mateo had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring single to right off San Jose pitcher Hiroyuki Terada.

"This was a good win," said Mateo.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at San Jose Municipal Stadium in San Jose.
