Impalas Saddle Gales with 7-3 Loss
Tempe took on Hialeah in front of a lively crowd.

The Tempe Impalas had to overcome a big game from Hialeah first baseman P.J. Abdul to leave Peoria Sports Complex with a victory. And they did, winning 7-3. Abdul went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Paxton Nation, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-8. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and no runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Grady Dorsett was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 5 save opportunities.

Early in the game, shortstop Kevin Katayama had a 3-run home run for Tempe. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Impalas on top, 3-0.

Katayama told a Tempe Today reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.

The last-place Impalas now have a win-loss record of 13-57.
