González, Manatees Wallop Buccaneers in Game 3 of WCS
The Coral Springs Manatees moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Boca Raton Buccaneers at Ed Smith Stadium by a score of 9-1. Manatees shortstop Fabiano González did some major damage. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the Manatees a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card Series.

González had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth to put Coral Springs in front, 8-1. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run off Boca Raton pitcher Rhett Kinard.

Manatees manager Josh Blair had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ed Smith Stadium in Coral Springs.
