Ravens Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 2-0
|
The New Haven Ravens got a strong performance from pitcher Scott Beam, who stymied the Altoona offense en route to a 3-0 win in Game 2 of the Wild Card Series. The Curve could never get a bead on the right-handed Beam, who threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The Ravens now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Beam delivered a quality start for New Haven. The 6-foot-6 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 7 innings of work.
"Scott was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said New Haven manager Mark Ennis.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 9th , 2058 at The Ballpark at Jackson in New Haven.
