Surprise Win Brings Series to 2-2
The Surprise Sidewinders and the Glendale Gauchos will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Sidewinders beat the Gauchos, 5-3, at Maryvale Baseball Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Surprise left-hander Gervasio Lastra had a big role in the win. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball.

The Sidewinders got a clutch hit from Jimmy Antrim with two out in the top of the seventh inning. Antrim jumped on a 1-1 cutter from T.J. Martines and hit a 2-run single, staking his club to a 5-0 lead.

Gauchos manager Tony Coto did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the R Championship Series."

Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday at Peoria Sports Complex in Surprise.
