Road Win Lifts Hampton to 2-1 Lead in WCS
|
With catcher Danny Deason leading the charge, the Hampton Orioles got a road win over the Danville Braves, 5-4, in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. Deason went 2-4 with a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 at American Legion Field to help Hampton take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Deason had an important at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run double. The Orioles went on to win.
