Yucatan got a terrific game from right fielder Galtero De La Cruz. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chihuahua, 6-4. De La Cruz went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jacob Huggins picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 3 in 5.1 innings. Chihuahua goes to 9-8.

Caton Tamez, the Chihuahua designated hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 4-2, Aztecs. For the game, Tamez went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"Feels good to get the job done," Tamez said after the game.
