Kingman Pins 7-2 Loss on Surprise
The Kingman Torts got a strong performance from pitcher Zachary Marino, who stymied the Surprise offense en route to a 7-2 win in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. The Sidewinders could never get a bead on the right-handed Marino, who threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The Torts now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Kingman used the hitting of Farleigh Kritzer to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Torts on top, 2-0. For the game, Kritzer had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Marino.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Torts Ballpark in Kingman.
