Olympia Takes Wild Card Series Game 1, Corley Stars
The Olympia Spartans started the Wild Card Series in style, downing the visiting Yakima Valley Pippins at Ballpark of Victoria by a score of 7-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Spartans right fielder Ryder Corley went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles.

Olympia designated hitter Eldrick Wiley staked his team to an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, when he grounded out, driving in 1 run with the bases loaded.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Corley after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Victoria in Olympia.
