Aqua Sox Bedevil Catch, 6-5

The Oviedo Catch got a superb performance from right fielder Kayden Sees, but the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox still won the game, 6-5. Sees was 4-4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hayden Jamieson picked up the win in relief for Pompano Beach, while Samuel Wylie took the loss. Zach Hemmis was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 11 save opportunities.
Trevor Terrell delivered a big hit for Pompano Beach. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aqua Sox ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Terrell told the Pompano Beach Times. "Whatever it takes."
By defeating Oviedo, the last-place Aqua Sox improved to 20-49.
