West Virginia Gets 6-2 Win Against Dust Devils
No one was more impactful than Xavier Alderete in the 6-2 West Virginia win over Tri-City. Alderete, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in stolen bases with 13, went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The victory gives West Virginia a record of 41-29.

Tracy Alix, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Alix contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put West Virginia up, 5-1.

"The most important thing is that we won," Alix said.
