Fresno turned a good effort from starter Ryan Perevalov into a win over the New York Mets at Citi Field. The Falcons won the game, 6-2. Fresno's record now stands at 41-23, placing them first in the National League Rivera Division.

Fresno used a well-timed hit by Nils Sherwood to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Falcons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Perevalov.
