Morton Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-1 Aqua Sox Triumph
Behind a fine performance from Adebayo Morton, the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox knocked off the West Palm Beach Dolphins, 7-1. Morton hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Aqua Sox. Vicente Coelo got the win, improving to 5-4. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The 7th-place Aqua Sox now have a record of 33-37.

Morton contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Pompano Beach in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Morton took a fastball from Joshua Villatoro and stroked the home run to right. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Aqua Sox to leap in front, 2-1.

"I thought we were prepared," West Palm Beach manager Cris Mendoza said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
