Herons Chop Down Kumquats, 5-0
|
With Luca Cintron leading the charge, the Pembroke Pines Herons defeated the Kissimmee Kumquats, 5-0. Cintron was 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Herons. Their 35-32 record puts the Herons 4th in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.
Pembroke Pines grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Cintron hit a grand slam home run off Matt Bello. His 4th home run of the season put the Herons out in front, 4-0.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Cintron.
