Hialeah beat Fort Myers at Space Coast Stadium, escaping with a 7-6 win in 12 innings. The win in large part was due to right fielder Joel Begay. He went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dave Kerper, who is tied for 3rd in the FLA in holds with 8, picked up the win in relief. Liam Brink took the loss for Fort Myers. The first-place Flamingos dropped to 41-26.

The Gales got a clutch hit from shortstop Jaxen Watkins. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Gales.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Begay.
