Herons Rally to Nose Past Hollywood
|
The Pembroke Pines Herons beat the Hollywood Spoonbills, 5-4, in part because of third baseman Casimer Bureau. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Pembroke Pines reliever Sergio Chávez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Elijah Rudolph took the loss. With the win, Pembroke Pines has a record of 34-35. Hollywood falls to 41-28.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Bureau hit a fastball from Elijah Rudolph for a run-scoring single. The Herons, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Bureau said.
