Navarro Socks Dolphins in 6-0 Threshers Win
|
Threshers shortstop Javier Navarro put his stamp on his team's 6-0 win over the West Palm Beach Dolphins. Navarro was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Clearwater in the contest. Cesar Butler, the winner, improved to 2-5. He held West Palm Beach to no runs on 1 hit over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The setback makes West Palm Beach 30-39.
Clearwater used the hitting of Austin Mohatt to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Threshers on top, 2-0. For the game, Mohatt had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Clearwater manager Jesus Lleonart.
