Chihuahua Wins, 3-2, in Extra Innings
|
Chihuahua and Mexico City played a hard-fought contest.
The Chihuahua Aztecs took Mexico City pitcher Jim Reed's best shot and still were able to claim a win at 7th Level of Hell. The final score had Chihuahua getting past the Diablos Rojos, 3-2. Reed went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 9. Cal Stuart came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1.
Aaron Brady, the 27-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Brady contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Chihuahua up, 3-2.
"Enjoyed this one," Brady told the Chihuahua Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The loss has the Diablos Rojos at 9-7.
