Cannons Tagged with 5-0 Loss
|
The 5-0 Grand Junction win over Calgary was due in large part to Keegan Pitts. The Rockies right fielder was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. The second-place Rockies now have a win-loss record of 44-26.
The Rockies had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 4-0, Grand Junction, with two out. Calgary, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Michael Archer dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 splitter, he grounded out.
