Voyagers Down Mustangs, 3-0
|
The Great Falls Voyagers took on the Billings Mustangs at Centene Stadium.
In a tight tilt between the Great Falls Voyagers and the Billings Mustangs, James Rosen was the deciding factor. The Great Falls left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Bang Niemi earned the save for Great Falls, his 18th of the year.
The Voyagers got a big at-bat from first baseman Téo Cardeñas. For the game, Cardeñas was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Great Falls a 2-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Great Falls skipper Tristan Johnson.
The Voyagers raised their record to 44-25.
