|
Hollywood Spoonbills starter Webster Tassin pitched a strong game against the Miramar Sun Dogs at Roger Dean Stadium, leading the Spoonbills to victory, 2-0. Tassin, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Peter García closed it out for Hollywood, earning his 11th save.
The Spoonbills got a clutch hit from Cliff Militari with two out in the top of the eighth inning. Militari jumped on a 0-1 fastball from Cedrick De Oleo and hit a run-scoring single, staking his club to a 2-0 lead.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Tassin.
The Sun Dogs, at 8-58, have lost 4 in a row.
