Spoonbills Win by Slim Margin, 5-4
|
Behind the hitting of Walt Baum, the Hollywood Spoonbills clipped the Miramar Sun Dogs, 5-4. Baum was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Spoonbills. Hollywood reliever Johnny Huerta picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Michael Cary was saddled with the loss. The Spoonbills now own a record of 36-20.
In the bottom of the ninth, with the score tied, Baum hammered a solo home run to win it for Hollywood.
