Ellis Leads Pompano Beach Past Clearwater

Royce Ellis was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Champion Stadium. In fact, the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Clearwater Threshers. With this game in the books, Pompano Beach is 32-32, Clearwater 32-32.
Ellis picked up the win. He's now 7-2, after putting the Clearwater offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 1 hit.
