Hogs Edge Hialeah in Pitching Duel
|
Gainesville Hogs starter Reid Perfect pitched a strong game against the Hialeah Gales at Hammond Stadium, leading the Hogs to victory, 1-0. The save went to Nate Parkin, his 13th this season. The win elevated the Hogs to 35-21.
Caleb Paquette drove in one run for Gainesville. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off William Plymire. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
"This is a very good team," said Paquette. "We have the chance to do something special."
