Hummingbirds Get Past Glendale for 8-7 Win
Maryvale Baseball Park was the site for Arizona Rookie League action featuring the Glendale Gauchos and Sierra Vista Hummingbirds.

The 8-7 Sierra Vista win over Glendale was due in large part to Hugo Busso. The Hummingbirds designated hitter was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. Yuriy Stashko earned the save for Sierra Vista, his 17th.

Sierra Vista needed the clutch hitting of Davontae Ashmore to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hummingbirds on top, 8-7. For the game, Ashmore had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

Busso told the Sierra Vista Times: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
