Miramar Picks Up Another L
|
The Kissimmee Kumquats beat the Miramar Sun Dogs in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 12-9, Kumquats. One of the hitting stars was left fielder Rickie Brannon. Brannon, the 26th overall pick in the 2067 draft, was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The losses continue to pile up for Miramar, which has now fallen 16 times in a row.
In the bottom of the sixth, Kissimmee second baseman Ed Inman put his team on top. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 11th double of the year. Miramar pitcher Kevin Quintero served it up. Just like that, the Kumquats were ahead, 10-9.
"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Gabriël de Koning. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."
