Raptors Win 6-4 Nail-Biter Versus Black Diamonds
The Ogden Raptors took Mário Valdez's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Lindquist Field. The final score had Ogden getting past the Black Diamonds, 6-4, in 11 innings. Valdez over 5.1 innings allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6. The 5th-place Raptors are now 33-30, the Black Diamonds 39-24.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sidney Mead in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a 2-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Hyser to win the game for Ogden. The home crowd went nuts.

Mead described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
