Chiefs Reel Off Another Win
Ballpark of Cheyenne hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Cheyenne Chiefs beat the Pocatello Pioneers, 2-1, at Ballpark of Cheyenne. Starting pitcher Max Jendro was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Cole Cristello, credited with the save, is now 16 for 18 in save opportunities.

Cheyenne took a 2-1 lead on Tommy Hobson's 11th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hobson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pocatello pitcher Abel Garr visibly frustrated.

"Max was in tempo tonight," said Cheyenne skipper Louis Person.

The third-place Chiefs have won 7 in a row.
