Berube Excels in 5-3 Kingsport Win
Led by Randall Berube, the Kingsport Mets downed the Lethbridge Black Diamonds, 5-3. Berube went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Mets. The winner in relief was Ross Merker. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Trevor Bond picked up the save, his 4th.

Berube had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Vinny Pikevsky, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Mets a 5-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Berube.

"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Berube.
