Thrilling Victory Pushes Rockies Win Streak to 5
|
Starting pitcher Mason Personette did his part in helping the Grand Junction Rockies thwart the Lethbridge Black Diamonds, 2-0. Grand Junction reliever Carlos Roman was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Wesley McCurry. The Rockies have now won 5 straight.
Grand Junction got a knockout punch from Colin Marino. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Personette.
