The home crowd had a good time watching the Texas Rangers and New York Mets get after it.
New York Mets starter Billy Ott was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Texas Rangers, 3-0. Ott got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 8.2 innings. He allowed no runs.
Derek Brown had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the seventh for New York. He came through with a 2-run single to put New York in front, 3-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Kevin Hall. "That was the problem."
The win makes New York 30-32.
