Tigers Drop Astros, 4-1
|
The Detroit Tigers got a stellar performance from pitcher Woodie Blackman, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Minute Maid Park. The 'W' lifts Detroit's record to 30-32.
Detroit used a well-timed hit by Zaiden Parker to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Tigers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Blackman said after the game.
