Tourists Upend Bananas, 4-2

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Starting pitcher Bill Hancock was a major factor in the 4-2 Asheville Tourists triumph over the Savannah Bananas. Hancock went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-9. Ross Allen earned the save for Asheville, his 33rd of the year.
Jonah Boothroyd chipped in for Asheville with a 3-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
After the game, Asheville manager Orlando Lopez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The 7th-place Tourists improved to 63-73.
