The Greensboro Grasshoppers knocked off the Lexington Legends, 5-2, in South Atlantic League action at NewBridge Bank Park. Greensboro pitcher and Ponce, Puerto Rico, native Kevin Sanchez had an outstanding performance. Greensboro occupies 8th place in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division at 59-74.

Derek Lyndon had a big 3-run home run for the Grasshoppers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Greensboro leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Magglio Quero and swatted a home run to left. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Grasshoppers ahead, 5-0.

"We did enough to win," said Sanchez.
