Greenville starter Lincoln Tolson pitched well against the Columbia Fireflies at Fluor Field at the West End. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0, in 10 innings. Reliever Eugénio Gamino picked up the win. His record improves to 7-7. Yacinto Vargas took the loss. The last-place Drive improved to 53-79.

The Drive got a clutch hit from designated hitter Nick DeVries. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Drive.
