Guillen Stars for Bananas in 10-4 Win
Due in large part to first baseman Jovanny Guillen, the Savannah Bananas sunk the Asheville Tourists, 10-4. Guillen went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Oscar Thomas recorded the save for Savannah, his 1st of the season. With the victory, the Bananas upped their record to 76-54.

Guillen contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Savannah in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Guillen took a fastball from Friar Blummer and stroked the home run to left. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Bananas to leap in front, 2-1.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Guillen told the Savannah Times.
