Drive Rally to Eke Out Win

The Greenville Drive found a way to sneak past the Charleston RiverDogs, 1-0, in 11 innings. Greenville pitcher Stiles Chainey, for one, had a standout performance. Greenville reliever Walter Gulvan was the winner. His record is now 5-8. Adelio Alejandro took the loss. Today's win puts Greenville at 52-77, while Charleston falls to 75-54.
The Drive got a clutch hit from center fielder Inocencio Garcia. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Drive.
"Put a star next to this win," Garcia said.
