Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old right fielder Maddox Silas, the Hickory Crawdads stopped the Hagerstown Suns, 11-1. Bryson Castner earned the win to go to 3-7. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts in 8.1 innings of work. Hickory has now won 5 games in a row.
Silas contributed in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Hickory get the win.
