Suns Knock Off Catfish, 6-4
|
Though he had a terrific game, Logan May could not prevent his team, the Columbus Catfish, from absorbing a loss. Hagerstown won the game, 6-4. May belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Hagerstown reliever Jake Morris got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Zach Smith was tagged with the loss. Ryan Mandt earned the save for Hagerstown.
Harrison Picha hit a 2-run double off Mikey Mauldin in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Suns in front, 6-4. In addition to the double, Picha had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Picha.
With the win, the Suns improved to 46-79.
