Lexington starter Abrey Pongolo kept the Greensboro offense under clamps, while his team rolled to victory, 12-1. With the win, the Lexington record is 26-99.

Lexington used the bat of Levi Quarles to get the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Legends ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"They took us to the woodshed," said Greensboro manager Bryce Scott.
