Borck Dominant in Chicago Win
|
Chicago starter Joe Borck put a stranglehold on the New York offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Cubs to a 3-0 win. Chicago has now won 3 in a row.
Borck, the Chicago right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Chicago skipper Phil Ross.
